These artworks were created by students in Years 3, 4 and 5, as part of a collaboration with Clarion Housing.
As part of a creative project, pupils designed their own comic book characters, either imagining themselves as superheroes or inventing entirely new ones. Their ideas were inspired by the bold, graphic style of pop artist Roy Lichtenstein and classic comic books.
Each student developed their character’s look, personality and actions, showing what their superhero might do and what makes them unique. A selection of winning designs from each class was chosen and digitally refined using Adobe Illustrator, bringing the drawings together as a series of large scale comic style panels.
Together, these panels form a vibrant mural that celebrates creativity, imagination and the students’ ideas.
