Thanks to a grant from Clarion Housing, we have been able to significantly upgrade our playground facilities.
With the funding we have made dedicated Creative, Building and Gardening Zones that have significantly improved opportunities for outdoor play and learning. Many of the children who have benefited from these improvements are residents of Clarion Housing.
The new play spaces have increased levels of physical activity during break times and lunchtimes, encouraged healthier lifestyles and supported children’s physical well-being. The project has also had a positive impact on pupils’ confidence, social skills and emotional well-being by providing inclusive spaces for collaboration, creativity and exploration.
The Gardening Zone has helped children develop an understanding of nature and the environment, while the Building and Creative Zones have encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and imaginative play. Overall, the project has created a more engaging and stimulating outdoor environment, benefiting Clarion residents and the wider community by supporting healthier, happier and more resilient children.
