‘I spent a hugely enjoyable hour yesterday evening at St Leonard’s Church, Shoreditch, listening to a fantastic concert given by, amongst others from the area, some Old Ford pupils; members of the Globe Town Voices and Whitechapel Voices Choir. I was wearing both my hats: one a proud beaming parent and one of gimlet-eyed governor.

It was inspiring to watch and listen to the enthusiasm, involvement and enjoyment displayed by all the children from our local community. As an ex-singer I can attest to the hard work and dedication that it takes to put on such a performance, and not just by the performers.

So I would like to thank the members of Old Ford staff who have put their own time and much effort into organising this, into escorting the pupils safely to their choir practices and back, and commend them for their dancing at the back of the church.’
